LIGHT FIXTURES
Light fixtures are one of the four components needed to complete a 12V landscape lighting job (the other three are Light Bulbs, Transformers, and Cable).
Light Fixtures are the holder, protector or decorative housing for the light bulb. Focus Light Fixtures are divided into five types:
Fixture Type Description Example
AL-04 Area (AL) An indirect light source where the mounting stem is centered beneath the hat, having a large distribution of light on the ground or surface -- commonly used for driveways, isolated planters, or perimeter illumination. Area Lighting Example
DL-21 Directional (DL) Any fixture that projects light into a given direction that has aiming capabilities -- used for flood lighting (signs, walls, hedges, security) and spot lighting (flag poles, palm trees, architecture, statuary objects). Directional Lighting Example
FFL-13 Compact Fluorescent (FFL) A soft, extremely wide angled light source used for flood/general lighting, safety and security -- offers extremely high efficiency and excellent lamp life. Compact Fluorescent Lighting Example
PL-01 Path (PL) An indirect light source where the mounting stem is attached to the side of the hat, outputting a smaller distribution of light (compared to area lighting) -- commonly used for small pathways or entrances, potted plants or planters, or anywhere you need safe transition to and from an area. Path Lighting Example
SL-33-AB Specialty (SL) Fixtures used for special installations and applications, including hanging, surface, underwater, and step/brick lighting. Specialty Lighting Example
