12V TRANSFORMERS

Transformers are one of the four components needed to complete a 12V landscape lighting job (the other three are Light Fixtures, Light Bulbs and Cable).

Transformers reduce the voltage from 110V to a safe, economical current to the light bulbs (12V). They can be controlled by timers, photocells, dimmers, motions sensors, switches and relays. Focus transformers are divided into five types:

Transformer	Type	Prefix	Description
	Weatherproof	WT	High quality power supplies (NEMA 3R) with several control options and the highest wattage capacities in the industry. Now includes our revolutionary M2000 series of stainless steel, field-upgradeable transformers!
	Direct Burial	DB	In-ground NEMA 12 enclosures with several control devies and highest wattage capacities in the industry, offering both multi-voltage input and multi-voltage output.
	Hard Wire	HW	60-75 watt miniature transformers used to convert line voltage (120V) applications to 12V in a matter of minutes, used in new or retrofit applications where 12V light sources/fixtures are needed.
	Plug-In	PI	60-75 watt miniature plug-in transformer used for simple receptacle conversion to 12V for small, permanent or temporary, lighting applications.
	Battery	WB	Small, portable, rechargeable, maintenance-free 12V battery for powering BBQ lights. Also great for landscape lighting night demonstrations.
